Dr. Jason Bird

About Me

Dr. Bird works with children, adolescents, and adults to enhance their overall well-being through using a collaborative, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach.  He serves clients ranging in age from five (5) through middle adulthood as well as parents and families.  Dr. Bird specializes in the assessment and treatment of academic, behavioral, social, and emotional challenges across school, home, and community settings.  He has extensive training and 10 years of clinical experience in the areas of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapies, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, psychological and risk assessment, substance use prevention, academic and executive skills training, college and career success, and parenting.

Dr. Bird focuses on working with individuals and families to improve both their mental and physical health through building positive coping skills and learning how to reach their fullest potential in life.  He also integrates music, art, exercise, healthy eating, and spirituality as a comprehensive way of improving people’s well-being.

His personal hobbies and interests include spending time with family, playing and listening to music, reading, hiking and being outdoors, biking, watching and playing sports, learning about all things Disney, creative home projects, and video gaming.
